Submissions are currently open for AA2A, a project which offers artist placements across twenty institutions within the UK. The scheme provides both visual artists and designers a period to work on a project using the facilities within places of higher education, giving the opportunity to access equipment that may otherwise not be available. Each individual awarded a placement will have at least 100 hours free access between October to April, with the AA2A endeavouring to provide support of up to £300 to each artist. The placement also offers the opportunity to create a dialogue with students; artists are expected to give up to three sessions within the institutions, whether demonstrations or discussions. More information regarding applications can be found here, with the deadline set for 9th September.
